Alessandro goes Circus

Saturday, December 17th  2016, 6pm. Charity Gala Show in support of the Zurich Lighthouse Foundation at the one and only romantic and poetic Christmas “Circus Conelli” in Zürich. Alessandro performs live with Orchestra, songs like: O Holy Night, White Christmas, Su le ciel de Paris, My Way, Wenn die Maske Fällt (Sissi Trilogy), Spiegel meiner Seele (Swan Lake), Send in the Clowns.

If you are not familiar with the Zurich Lighthouse, it is a palliative hospice and the only hospice in the canton of Zurich. It was founded in 1988 to help HIV/AIDS patients. Over the years it has become a place for people to go when they have incurable diseases and need end-life care. The professional team supports not only the patients but also the families. The non-profit health organization can only survive with the help of volunteers and donations.

Christmas isn’t Christmas in Zurich without the familiar sight of Conelli’s big top on the little island in the Limmat river. This family-run circus has been entertaining Zurich residents for decades with a mix of traditional and contemporary circus acts from all over the world. Acrobats, jugglers, rope artists and dancing girls display generally impressive feats of physical strength and suppleness while the obligatory clown duo, Gaston and Roli, go down well with the crowds.
